Shot this ammo in my new Marlin dark series 336 that has a barrel length of 16.17” and got an average muzzle velocity of fps 2403 shooting groups of 3 shot (3 times)and five shot, (group twice).The box said 2370 with a 24” barrel. I used an Anthelon conograph for testing. I got 1667 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. I had a standard deviation of 26 fps. Accuracy was excellent, at 25 yards using a bench sled type rest and a red dot (Burris fast fire 4) it was center bullseye at the bottom of the diamond. With a scope 3-9x Trijicon credo illuminated scope it shot 1 1/2” high dead center. At 50 yards using 9x power it shot high 1 1/2” over the bullseye center. At 100 yards with scope 9 power it shot 2” high with a tight groups of 3/4 .75 to 1” groups! I’m using this for whitetail deer in the deep Deep South here in the panhandle of Florida where the deer are smaller than northern whitetails. Does one need heavier bullets for this with traditional 150-170 trainers? I think not! Getcha some of this shit, good stuff Manerd!
