TUNED FOR A 12" BARREL

    • Multi-Patented, Tumble Upon Impact® design
    • Superior penetration
    • Non lead, Solid Copper Spun SCS®  bullet

Fort Scott Munitions® presents the 8.6 Blackout with our advanced Tumble Upon Impact® (TUI®) design, offering superior performance and reliability. This multi-patented ammunition features a solid copper spun SCS® bullet, ensuring excellent penetration and devastating internal damage. Our non-lead, solid copper bullets are machined from premium materials using precision CNC lathes, adhering to the highest quality standards.

Designed for versatility, the 8.6 Blackout excels in hunting, match shooting, and self-defense. The TUI® technology enables the bullet to tumble end-over-end upon impact with water-based tissue, creating a more effective and destructive wound channel. With consistent quality and performance, trust Fort Scott Munitions® for reliable results every time you pull the triggerAll gas gun customers should be aware that repeated cycling of an unfired cartridge can cause the projectile’s crimp to fail and the bullet to become loose. This is more prevalent with large monolithic projectiles because the copper’s surface is less yielding.

Due to the AR10 platform’s lack of uniformity or military specifications we are unable to predict whether your firearm is more or less likely to cause this characteristic. Our standard recommendation to prevent this occurrence is to polish your firearm’s feed ramp and check the headspace of your weapon

Not Subsonic!

Just shot 20 rounds and 2 were subsonic, the rest were not. I’m disappointed, as the only reason I have this caliber is to shoot subsonic. Wish I would have bought less. I was using a 12” faxon barrel. Positive is that they all cycled well in a ar-10 platform.

Super sonic

Half a box fired thru 12.5” Bear creek pistol AR10 not subsonic. Grouped excellent. Breaking the sound barrier is a deal breaker for me while shooting hogs

Functioned well, but not subsonic

Ammo functioned well and had good grouping at 100 and 200 yards. Opened up out to 300 but that’s pushing the limit it was designed. Big issue was it is not sub sonic. Shooting in central Kentucky. Chronographed 40 rounds out of a 12 inch Aero build using a Faxon barrel, slowest velocity I had was 1165 fps. Fastest was 1178 fps. No good when it’s almost $70 a box.
